To find or set up a Warehouse in CRM, please follow the steps below:
Go to the left side menu and select Warehouse Management
Then click on Warehouse
The page will display a search bar on the top where you can type the name of the Warehouse of just looking on the list of Warehouses shown underneath the search bar
Or at the top right of the page, you can select the Create New button, which it will redirect you to a new page to configure your Warehouse.
However, the focus of this article is the Amazon FBA* Warehouses, which are the newest Warehouses with whom DFO is going to work with.
FBA*: Stands for Fulfillment by Amazon
The preeminent characteristic of these Warehouses is that they deliver just within the same country where the Warehouse is located. For example: the Warehouse is in the US, which implies that it will fulfill and ship orders that can be delivered just within the US.
Hence, while setting up the warehouse, there is no need to choose the countries where orders will be delivered as this is automatically defined by the Warehouse location itself.
The last relevant trait to consider of these Warehouses is that they work with Inventory Conciliation*.
This option can be switch on and off with the following pushbutton:
What is Inventory Conciliation*?
The Inventory Conciliation is the process that compares the inventory counts in the company's records (in this case in CRM) to the actual amounts on the warehouse shelves. In cases of differences between the two amounts, the system will rectify and adjust the records to reflect this analysis into the stock level displayed in CRM, in the Warehouse.
