This document describes the steps to clone a page in the same site to create a new variation.

Important note:

  • When duplicating a page within the same site, the new page reuses the content from the original page.
  • Any changes to a content will affect both page variations.
  • If you want to change a piece of content for the new variation without affecting the original version, please duplicate that content to replace in the page.

Duplicate the page

  • Right-click > Copy on the page you want to duplicate.
  • Right-click on the destination folder > Paste the page

Update the new page properties

  • The Title should be kept as is because it is related to the CSS file.
  • Update the URL and Friendly Name fields.
  • Lock the page for Editing > Save / Publish.

Duplicate content to update and replace in the new page

  • In Page Edit mode, you can see the Content Type and its title.
  • Copy the title and go to Content > Search.
  • Select the content type in dropdown and paste the title in the text field below it to search.
  • Right-click on the content and select Copy to duplicate, then update the content of the new one.
  • Go back to Edit mode of the page, select Add Content option on the top right corner of the section, then select Reuse Content
  • Search for the content you have just created previously to add.
  • Remove the old content from the page.
